Orsha, 1920. The old prince Drutsky has been killed, and his valuables have disappeared. A young Chekist, Roman Vasilchuk, is looking for them, assisted by former investigator Pavel Daderko. Meanwhile, peasant revolts and workers' uprisings are breaking out all around, anarchist robbers, Pilsudski's spies, and sex blackmailers from the brothel are operating...
