Heart of stone

The book "Stone Heart" is a collection of essays by political prisoner Pavel Sevyarynets, written over the past twenty years. Short stories from Belarusian captivity - "days", "chemistry", prisons - show today's Belarus from the inside. Life under the regime as it is. The book "Letters from the Forest", fragments of which you can read here, was recognized by the weekly "Nasha Niva" as the best Belarusian book of 2007, and "Belarusian Depth" (selected chapters are posted here) - became the laureate of the Frantishko Alakhnovich Prize. "Stone Heart" also contains a number of texts by Pavel Sevyarynets that have not yet been published.
