Mikadzem Dyzma's career

The action takes place in Poland during the time of Józef Piłsudski: the capital Warsaw and the estate of the wealthy landowner Khabarov near Grodno. The main character is a provincial, a man without education, upbringing, principles and special abilities, a lazy, scoundrel - by the will of combinations he becomes not just anyone, but the chairman of the National Grain Bank.

Tadeusz Dalengo-Mastovich (1898–1939) was a novelist, screenwriter, and journalist born in the Hłyboč region. He died tragically at the very beginning of World War II. He is the author of seventeen popular novels and several film scripts. His novel "The Healer" was published in Belarusian in 2016 .
