During the Influenza War, Muscovy launched a new military campaign in January 1564. The two enemy armies were to unite near Orsha and, using scorched earth tactics, advance on Minsk, Navahrudak, and Vilnius.
To this challenge, the invaders received a worthy response on the Ula River, where they were defeated by the Lithuanian army of the Supreme Hetman Nikolai Radziwiłł the Red and the Polish Hetman Ryhor Khodkiewicz. The continuation of the Ula triumph of our weapons a few days later was the Battle of Orsha in 1564, which finally buried Moscow's plans and restored military balance in the confrontation between the parties. The events of that time are restored by the famous historian Andrei Yanushkevich.
