The action of Vladimir Karatkevich's story "Chazenia" takes place in the Far East, in a land with unique fauna and relic plants. Against the backdrop of exotic nature, a love story unfolds, the likes of which you will not read anywhere else. Severyn Budrys from his native Belarus finds himself in a country where an angry chipmunk fights against unwanted guests, and at night a leopard wanders around the hunting lodge. There, a giant butterfly "Blue Ribbon of the Order" flies to the light of a lantern and ginseng secretly blooms. And on bare stones and rocks, a strange plant lives its short life - chazenia. The woman Severyn meets here is also shrouded in mystery - Grazyna Arsaila. No matter where Uladzimir Karatkevich's hero wanders—to North Africa, to the Pacific Ocean, to Scotland—he will always remember his "blue-blue" Belarus.
