Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu (born 1946 in Kreva) is an unconditional classic of modern Belarusian literature, whose works have also been translated into dozens of languages. His poetry is characterized by suggestiveness and extraordinary elasticity of the line, it clearly shows the close connection of the lyrical hero's personality with the past, present and future of his native land and the whole world.
