Among the heroes of the works: the artist Ales Pushkin, who is looking for the Chalice of the Grail; Nicholas the Crossbowman from Kryvyi Rih; a monument to Lenin, which imperceptibly disappeared from the square in Zhodino; Father Feofil, who hid valuables collected for the army of Bulak-Balahovich in a grave near the church; as well as the legendary Robin Hood of the Smolevichi district, Ivan Shagoyka, who could forge any document, wrote out invoices for German warehouses for the partisans, and after the war, certificates, saving people from prisons and gulags; and of course the author himself, who wrote all this and is present in all this.
