The book "Selected Works" by Vytautas Tumaš is the fifth book in the "Heritage: Surveys" subseries of the "Library of the Fatherland" series of the Association of Belarusians of the World "Fatherland" - consists of the most important research works of the émigré scientist, long-time chairman of the Belarusian Institute of Science and Art (New York) Vytautas Tumaš (1910-1998). The articles are devoted to the issues of ethnogenesis and cultural development of Belarusians, the life and work of Frantsysk Skaryna, and the book culture of Belarus. With his Skaryna studies, Vytautas Tumaš was in many ways ahead of metropolitan researchers. The texts included in the publication remain relevant today.
