The book is a Belarusian version of the revised and partially supplemented for publication scientific monograph by researcher Tatyana Ostrovskaya "Cultural Dissent in Soviet Belarus (1968-1988). Intelligentsia, Samizdat and Nonconformist Discourses", defended at the University of Greifswald, Germany. The volume covers a wide range of intellectual topics and discourses, focusing on "non-conformism", or "cultural dissent", as opposed to "political dissent". The topic is extremely important and relevant for understanding historical processes and trends that are projected onto the modern stage of development of independent Belarus. A popular scientific publication for a wide range of readers.
