Minsk Diary

“Minsk Diary”, originally written in English, describes the events in Minsk on the eve, during and after the 2020 elections. It is a first-person account in which the intimate everyday life of one writer’s family is intertwined with the collective experience of protest. A private document of the era, narrated by the author’s emotional voice, takes the reader back to the maelstrom of life in the insurgent city, in days of anxiety, solidarity and painful hope. The text appeared in Swedish, German, Dutch and Lithuanian, and was published in an abridged form in English and Norwegian.
