Belarusian Cultural Code: Created by Women - a project in Latin about 9 outstanding women in Belarusian history.
A notebook with a portrait of one of the women who left her mark on the history of Belarus.

  • Alaiza Pashkevich (Tsyotka) (19th–20th centuries) – poet and public figure. She took an active part in the events of 1905, emigrated and was only able to visit the Russian Empire and be in Belarus illegally. One of the founders of Belarusian prose.
  • Elena Aladova (20th century) is an art historian and director of an art museum. Her efforts restored the largest collection of works by Belarusian artists.
Alena Vasilevna organized nearly 30 expeditions across Belarus to find and preserve culturally valuable exhibits.
  • Emilia Plater (19th century) is the most famous revolutionary in our region, who was also a folklorist. She fought for the freedom of her homeland during the uprising of 1830–1831. Her personality is a symbol of the fight against the stereotype that only men can take part in combat operations.
  • Františka Uršula Radziwiłł (17th century) was the first female playwright in Belarusian lands, a poet and founder of the theater in Nesvizh. Every year, plays appeared from the pen of the princess. You could see a performance based on her works at the Yanka Kupala Theater in Minsk under the title "The Abduction of Europe, or the Theater of Uršula Radziwiłł" .
  • Nadzeya Khodasevich-Leger (20th century) is a painter, graphic artist, and mosaicist. Her main dream was to become an artist, and despite all the difficulties she experienced in life, she made her dream come true. We assume that you have seen her abstract work with a red ball.
  • Rokhlia Frumkina (19th century) was an entrepreneur and founder of the Bohemia brewery (since the 1990s , Olivaria ). She ran the brewery for 12 years. Unfortunately, we do not know what this woman looked like, as no photographs of her have survived.
