Insatiability

"Insatiability" by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz is considered the author's best novel. The dystopian fantasy, written in the 1920s, describes the process of the protagonist's coming of age against the backdrop of the revolutionary Chinese invasion of Europe and the spread of a new faith. The symbol of this faith is a pill, the acceptance of which allows you to change your worldview, as well as suppress individuality and destroy the person as such. The book is saturated with eroticism, philosophy, politics and art - through immersion in them, the characters seek to quench their thirst for life and drown out the metaphysical horror of existence.
