Dmitry Strotsev is a Belarusian poet who writes in Russian. Born in Minsk in 1963. Author of 18 books of poems. Head of the literary and publishing project "Novye Mekhi", publisher of the almanac and poetry series "Minsk School". Member of the Belarusian PEN Center. Laureate of numerous awards, including the Vaclav Havel Library Fund Disturbing the Peace Award to a Courageous Writer at Risk (2021), Swedish PEN's Tucholsky Award (2021) and the Belarusian PEN Center named after Ales Adamovich (2021). The poems have been translated into many languages.
