The verse drama "Balladyna" by the outstanding Polish playwright and Romantic poet Juliusz Słowacki (1809-1849) is one of the most significant works in his creative legacy. Using motifs of national folklore, as well as the achievements of Shakespearean drama and contemporary French theater, the author addresses the problems of the interrelationship of Good and Evil in historical time and in Eternity. The work is published for the first time in Belarusian translation.
