The full moon rose into the black sky, its cold rays illuminating the room, falling through the window. The neighbor's dog barked loudly. I couldn't fall asleep for a long time, so for a while, I just lay under the blanket and looked out the window. I remembered how my grandmother, when I was little, taught me not to look out the window before bed, because evil spirits could scare me. Of course, I, a little boy curious about everything, couldn't listen to her. The window was like a door to another world for me; I would gaze for a long time at the sky where cold stars danced, even trying to count them. Then, my grandmother would start to scare me with “bogeywomen” and tell me another tale.
