Igor Alinevich, Belarusian anarchist. In 2010, he was accused of attacking the Russian embassy in Minsk and participating in other anarchist actions and was later sentenced to 8 years in a maximum security colony, receiving the longest sentence of any political prisoner in the entire modern history of Belarus. Released on August 22, 2015, among six Belarusian political prisoners, in accordance with a decree on pardon signed by the President of Belarus.
Igor Alinevich managed to release the diary manuscript, written in a KGB prison, along with other articles, and in March 2013, through the efforts of the Radical Theory and Practice publishing house, the book "I'm Going to Magadan" was published. In late October 2020, Igor and his associates were detained at the border with Ukraine and charged with terrorism for setting fire to premises and cars of employees of the penal system.
