"Feminization of the Belarusian Language" is a study dedicated to feminatives and their role in the Belarusian language from a historical and modern perspective.

The monograph "Feminization of the Belarusian Language" is devoted to the analysis of female agentive-professional names (Nomina agentis) in the Belarusian language, both from a historical perspective (in Old Belarusian) and in the two usages of modern Belarusian (Tarashkievitsa, Narkamauka). In addition, the work covers a comparative perspective - an attempt to ascertain how feminative-agentives function in modern Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, and French languages. The work analyzes the reasons for the marginalization of feminatives, as well as the practices and mechanisms of their demarginalization undertaken in the realm of fiction and gender studies.

The book is intended for anyone interested in sociolinguistic and gender studies.
