Homo historicus 2023. Yearbook of Anthropological History

The yearbook "Homo Historicus 2023" continues a series of publications that develop an anthropological approach to understanding history. This volume for the first time publishes previously unknown Belarusian-language texts from the circle of Kastuś Kalinoŭski, as well as articles on the connection between personal biographies and the history of science. The publication unites researchers from Belarus, Poland, and Ukraine and highlights key aspects of national historiography.

Homo Historicus 2023 continues the traditions of the six previous volumes (2008, 2009, 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022) with their orientation towards expanding the anthropological style of thinking in the analysis of the past. The published texts introduce previously unknown Belarusian-language texts from the circle of Kastuś Kalinoŭski, concern the correlation between the biography of science and the biography of a scientist, and shed light on many important pages of national history. Among the authors are renowned researchers from Belarus, Poland, and Ukraine.
