The new novel by Max Shchur, winner of the Giedroyc Award (2016), is a bold attempt to encompass the history of cinema and the biography of his generation within one cover. Before the reader's eyes unfolds a "rough cut" of mass and intimate scenes, fragments of historical film chronicles, off-screen dialogues, and snippets of classic films.
