Pavel Sevyarynets' book "I Love Belarus" is an original encyclopedia of the Belarusian national idea. The author goes through the key components of our uniqueness - language, history, personalities, culture, faith. This is a book of love, a book of power. It is banned in Belarus, but lives on thanks to Belarusians in exile. An irreplaceable gift for those who value Belarus and dream of its free future.
***
In the first edition of the book "I Love Belarus", the Author expressed sincere gratitude for the help in preparing the book: to people whose advice, consultations, and comments were a valuable clarification to the "National Idea"; Young Front members who typed and laid out the text; friends who checked the information; parents; and all those who prayed for the implementation of this publication. Today, the Author himself has been behind bars in Belarus for the fifth year – since June 7, 2020 – and cannot in any way participate in the reprinting of his book. Moreover, the book itself is recognized as "extremist" and banned in the Republic of Belarus. But many Belarusians are praying for the Author's speedy release, many have donated funds for the publication of this publication in Poland for the Belarusian diaspora.
"After "Land Under White Wings" by Vladimir Karatkevich, I don't know of another book about Belarus that would be written with such love, insight, and faith as the book by Pavel Sevyarynets"
Vladysmer Orlov , writer
"This original author's encyclopedia deeply impressed me with how passionately its creator loves our beloved Fatherland and how much he already knows about it. And I would be happy if every one of my compatriots, especially the young, heard and repeated Pavel Severinets' sincere prayer for Belarus."
Gennady Buraukin , poet
"In his next book, the author presents his vision of the national idea, which he pursues through various manifestations of Belarusian identity, through the main components of our history and present, and assesses historical figures and political figures. The book is filled with optimism and faith in a better future for our country."
Anatoly Gritskevich , Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor
"Pavel Severinets' book "The National Idea" clearly shows a deep knowledge of the history of Belarus, the Word of God, and the analytical combination of this knowledge in a thought-idea... Such a book is very necessary for the Belarusian people, driven into the state of traitors and renegades. Therefore, thank God, Belarus lives!"
Ernest Sabila , pastor of the Belarusian Evangelical Church
