The Martian

Astronaut Mark Watney, presumed dead after a terrible storm, is left alone on a Martian station. And although the conditions there are quite comfortable, there is one big problem: Mark is in danger of starvation. But fortunately, in addition to the limited supplies of space food, he has twelve potatoes and some earthen soil. His goal is to last four years until the next mission arrives.
The Martian Robinson has to show extraordinary imagination and apply all his knowledge to survive and return to Earth. And we probably won't spoil the pleasure for our readers if we say right away that, despite the problems and difficulties, everything will end well for Mark.
The Martian is the first published novel by American writer Andy Weir. The story is a living retelling of the Golden Age of science fiction.
