The dead do not suffer. Elimination. Without censorship

This edition brings together two iconic novellas by Vasil Bykau — "The Dead Don't Feel Pain" and "Liquidation" — in a rare, virtually unique uncensored version for Belarusian literature. The texts were first published in their entirety after the author's death in 2014, and it was expected that they would subsequently only appear in this form. However, censorship continued. Therefore, this book edition, published in Białystok, becomes only the second complete uncensored printing, allowing readers to see Bykau's authorial text for the first time without cuts and revisions.
