The collection "Mzia and Sonya" features heartfelt and joyful children's poems by Georgian writer Vasil Guleuri, artistically translated into Belarusian by Yury Nestsiarenka. Vasil Guleuri’s book “Mzia and Sonya” is a collection of poems for children. Mzia is the name of a girl, the little heroine of one of the poetic stories.

Vasil Guleuri is a well-known writer in his homeland and beyond, a repeated nominee and winner of prestigious literary awards. In 2022, during the Tbilisi Literary Festival, Mr. Guleuri met Yury Nestsiarenka, a musician and writer from Belarus. Yury became interested in his colleague's work and created artistic translations of Georgian poems into Belarusian. And now, before you is the result of the cooperation between the Georgian and Belarusian authors!

Young readers will learn not only about the adventures of the girl Mzia, but also about the Frog in the pool, the Cat in a cast, Mishka on the train, the Cat's guests, the writer-goose and the singer-crow, why the Beetle needs cottage cheese, and the Chicken a basket, and much more.
