Virgins of Wilk

"The Maidens of Wilko" is a collection of selected stories and short stories by one of the greatest Polish writers of the 20th century, Jarosław Iwaśkiewicz. The book includes translations into Belarusian of works that made the writer famous far beyond Poland, including "The Maidens of Wilko", "Mother Joan for the Angels", "The Battle of Sedgemoor Plain" and others.

Yaroslav Ivashkevich (1984—1980) — one of the greatest Polish writers of the 20th century, the author of more than a dozen poetry collections, numerous short stories, a number of novels and novels, as well as dramatic works.

The book offers several of the writer's most famous stories and narratives, which will undoubtedly be interesting to a wide range of readers.
