In the history of every people, every nation, there are times of extraordinary, passionate uplift, a qualitative leap in their evolutionary path. It is during these periods that people appear – passionaries, who become the leaders of their people, thinkers and ideologues. Belarusians have experienced a thousand-year history of their formation from an ethnic group to a nation and also have such beacons, the elite of the nation. In the proposed book, written in the genre of literary non-fiction, the reader will get acquainted with the life paths and work of outstanding Belarusian figures, writers – passionaries of the last quarter of the 20th century – early 21st century, – a period of the formation of the Belarusian nation and the modern Belarusian state – the Republic of Belarus.
