Representation of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Sejm of Lublin in 1569

THE FIRST SPECIAL STUDY ON THE TOPIC A monograph by the Belarusian historian Uladzimir Padalinski is dedicated to the activities and personal composition of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania's representation at the Lublin Sejm in July–August 1569. The book analyzes the Sejm debates and decisions regarding the determination of the state-legal status of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania within the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, ensuring the country's defense, and resolving local and personal matters. For the first time, an attempt is made to create a collective portrait of the Grand Ducal senators and land envoys who participated in the work of the 1569 Sejm in Lublin. The problem of the existence of an independent political movement of the minor and middle gentry in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania is also considered.
