Ages and Other Times

The story of one village in the center of Poland and the world, spanning an entire century and composed of short stories of its inhabitants and their belongings, where everyday life is created from a multitude of vivid details, and reality intertwines with myth.

Olga Tokarczuk (born in 1962) is a writer who claims that all information about her can be found in her books; an author with phenomenal talent, boundless imagination, an immense number of literary awards, critical acclaim, and reader's love. In 2019, the Swedish Academy awarded the writer the Nobel Prize – "for a narrative imagination that with encyclopedic passion represents the crossing of boundaries as a form of life."
