Resettlers or Refugees? The History of the Expulsion of Belarusians from the Białystok Region

"About Belarusians displaced from Poland to Belarus in 1944–48" – the Polish translation of the work by Belarusian local historian Siarhiej Czyhryn, "Repatriation", available for the first time to Polish-speaking readers.

This is a story about one of the most painful and still controversial chapters in the history of the Polish-Belarusian borderland: forced displacements after World War II. Over the years, the author worked in archives and collected family memories, creating a documentary history of people forced to leave their homes under the pressure of fear, violence, and state decisions.

The book is supplemented by an introduction by Prof. Eugeniusz Mironowicz, providing political and social context for those events.
