This book lies at the intersection of philosophy and psychotherapy—where human suffering ceases to be a symptom and becomes a way of being.
Alisa Holtzhey-Kunz's work offers a thoughtful and rigorous look at the existential foundations of psychotherapeutic practice.

***
Alisa Holtzhey-Kunz (b. 1943, Switzerland) is a representative of the Daseinsanalytic psychotherapeutic tradition, founded in the first half of the 20th century by Ludwig Binswanger and Medard Boss. The published monograph presents her original concept of Daseinsanalysis, which is based on a productive synthesis of psychoanalysis and existential philosophy. The book is addressed to psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, as well as philosophers interested in existential anthropology and the prospects for interdisciplinary interaction between philosophy and psychotherapy.
