"Notes" is a popular science almanac dedicated to the history and present of Belarusians abroad, published by the Belarusian Institute of Science and Art. It has been published since 1952. The first 6 volumes in 1952-1954 were published in New York; the next 5 - in 1962-1970. were printed in Munich. From the 12th (1974) to the 24th (1999) volume "Notes" was again printed in New York, in 2002-2022 it was a joint New York-Men's project, from 2023 - a New York-Vilnius-Białystok project. The editors-in-chief were Vytautas Tumash, Stanislaus Stankevich, Vytautas and Zora Kipeli, Thomas Baird. The publication has been edited by Natallia Gordienko since 2003. The pages of "Zapis" publish author's articles, archival materials, memoirs, literary works, book reviews, bibliographies, chronicles, and other texts - everything related to the history of Belarusian emigration and various forms of Belarusian presence abroad.
